Following the recent guidance from Welsh Government, we are delighted to announce that our centres will be re-opening to our members only for gym & classes on 10th August.
While you’ve been away, we have all been very busy. We have used the downtime to carry out refurbishments and upgrades across many of our sites and also brought forward several projects which were scheduled to be completed in the autumn. All of which means that you can look forward to some fantastic new facilities when you return and continues to demonstrate our commitment to providing residents with sport, fitness and leisure facilities that compare with the very best of the private sector.
Following easing of restrictions, we have already been able to introduce a brand new outdoor classes offer. The programme includes 40+ classes across 6 of our centres and has proved hugely popular, with 500+ members attending the first week’s classes.
Once we reopen fully, the safety of customers and staff will be our key priority. You can be assured we will be adhering to all government safety advice, and have been working hard to put in place new systems which mean you will be able to exercise safely, but still enjoy the same exceptional standards as before. All of our staff have been trained according to Covid-19 guidelines and we have incorporated regular intensive cleaning sessions into our timetables.
In line with government advice, there will be some changes to the way things work in our centres:-
- Opening times and session times have changed to allow for social distancing
- Extra sanitising stations are positioned around the centre for comfort and safety.
- Changing rooms will be closed, so you will need to arrive changed and ready for your activity.
- All gym, and classes will need to be booked in advance. You will not be able to attend without pre-booking. We will be restricting the numbers in the gym and classes to allow for social distancing
- Gym sessions are limited to 90 minutes, with a 15 minute gap between sessions for extra cleaning.
- Classes will take place in the sports hall or outdoors to allow for social distancing
For full details of the programme and social distancing measures, please see our website.
Do not come to the centres if you are unwell or having symptoms.
Your DD collections for your chosen membership package will resume from either 1st or 15th September depending on your normal payment date. You don’t need to take any further action and your payment amounts will not change.
In the meantime, you can continue to use the gym and classes free of charge whilst you have an active membership. This free period will also act as a credit for time lost in March when our centres closed.
If you do not feel ready to return to the gym, you could choose to suspend your membership for a minimum of a month - up to 3 months. Please contact email@example.com for more information and advice on the options available. You will need to contact us at least 7 days before your payment due date, otherwise your payment will still be collected.
We will be updating everyone on the arrangements for opening our other facilities soon.
Everyone at Denbighshire Leisure is excited about getting back to work, opening up our centres and of course, seeing all of our customers very soon. If you have any queries on the above, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
